This device has impressive firmware and is capable of being a full router if you enable the right things, and does a great many ethernet protocols and diagnostics that are only explained on the web by Cisco. The support doesn't seem as good. No copy of the manual on the Shenzen OLYCOM Ltd. web site, and the technical support is mainly via telephone to China, and I know well we'd communicate better textually. The support email address is invalid (no '@' character) but there is a valid sales email address so you could go from there.This device is specified for 48 to 52 volts; so it must run on conditioned power, not directly connected to a battery. Charging the battery will get voltage up to 56 volts or even more, beyond the specification of this device.My device is doing something odd to PoE devices connected to it, causing them to shut down frequently. It may be because it's directly connected to the battery. I will try it on conditioned power, but this device is a 5-hour drive from my home. Next time, I'll be buying something with wider input voltage specification.
