The switch DOES NOT start Westinghouse WGen 9500 DF (dual fuel) generator. Something clicks inside the switch, when utility power is diconnected, but the generator does not attempt to start. It DOES, however STOP the generator after 45 second cooling period, when utility power is resored. I went through two ST switches with exactly the same results. Its worth noting that the problem is likely in the switch, and NOT in the generator itself, since patching pins 2&3 in the signal cable (shorting these 2 pins is how the start signal is sent to the generator) DOES START the generator! I have no other option than to return it, since Westinghouse would not troubleshoot a third party product.
