Full disclosure: I am satisfied and I will be keeping the product, but I was also disappointed and skeptical so I'll explain why. When I opened the package, the rubber casing on the HDMI cord was split open, so won't be using that cord. I'm using my own instead. I also saw that the casing of the power converter was damaged: there were cracks and gaps in the plastic, as well as melted and burned spots. Also, one of the tines on the plug was bent, so I wasn't sure it would work. I set it all up though, and IT DID WORK! :DSo overall, it does what I need: I can now play my wii u games without asking someone else for their console. The first impressions were disappointing, but with the used console market this competitive I dont want to risk sending it back and receiving something worse instead. I will be keeping this console and enjoying my games.Fast shipping great packaging works excellentI bought this when my old Wii finally died. I didn't want to buy a used Wii at auction, so I thought it would be safer to get a certified renewed newer system. So far, it's great and I'm very happy. It was an easy setup, even without a manual, because it just walks you though everything. It took very little time to get up and running, so I'm very pleased.Zelda wind waker and Nintendo land are a great combo for gamingJust as described, in great working condition and came with everything needed.We don’t know anything about Wiis, Nintendos, PlayStations, etc. Based on our research there appeared to be a 50/50 chance a refurbished unit would work & we didn’t want to spend the extra money on a brand new Wii U. It froze repeatedly when we first got it, and after researching & calling tech support it stopped freezing for a couple of weeks. We were never able to play games on just the game pad. Nonethe less, our 6 & 8 yr olds enjoyed playing on the TV. Having no prior experience with any gaming devices we thought perhaps the biggest issue of freezing has been resolved. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Even though we are now outside the return period & now have an expensive paperweight I still stand by the purchase. We knew the risks of buying a refurbished device & could have returned it earlier based on the issues we had. We made a choice to try & work through them. I recommend a refurbished device for those who understand the risks & are willing to themselves accountable for the choices they make.This Wii U arrived early and in excellent condition! We are super happy with the purchase and it would have been a 5 star, but the unit lacked the controller charging stand. It would be super useful to have the charging cradle for the controllers, but they were not included. Regardless, this was a super purchase!We used to have a Wii but was stolen in 2010 when our home was robbed.. I never knew that the Wii was the one thing my daughters missed mostly out of everything we lost.. then on Aug 28, our house was flooded by Harvey and we lost what little we had remaining...but the girls still talked about how much they missed their Wii back from back years ago (they are 15 & 16 yrs old now)...so in an effort to bring some long overdue happiness back to their lives during this long journey in trying to rebuild our home and normalcy of life, I decided to get them a Wii. It arrived super fast and my girls have been smiling ever since they opened the box. It has brought them closer as sisters and us closer all as a family since we can all play together. I haven't heard them laugh so hard together in I can't even remember when.. for that I would give it a 100 star rating if I could... thank you so so so much!
