It arrived with the box torn and the manual dog-eared. Clearly they had seen use. The controllers looked fine, though.As controllers, these are hard to recommend. In particular, the sticks have a sizeable dead zone, so fine control is impossible. I've included a picture of me visibly tilting the stick and not having it register. That wouldn't happen on a quality controller. The buttons are also pretty mushy; it's hard to feel when you've pressed them down enough, especially for the triggers. The d-pad buttons are shallow and hard to slide your thumb across smoothly. They are thicker and slightly more comfortable than Nintendo joy-cons, though, and have enough heft to them to not feel flimsy. I'll use these for a while to see if drift issues pop up.The amiibo function works, but features some questionable design decisions. First, contrary to the developer's claim, it -does- work with other games. For instance, I was able to get the Master Sword in Skyrim by setting it to send Mario Kart amiibo data and cycling until I got Link. However, the selection of amiibos provided for each game is truly strange. Breath of the Wild has a list of 500 different ones for some reason--good luck getting Epona that way--while Smash Bros. Ultimate has only 30. This could be updated by firmware, but hasn't been yet. It's also annoying that you have to hold R3 for several seconds to get the amiibo data to register, since that could have an in-game function. Also, the LED that shows what game is selected can't be seen while the controller is attached to the Switch.As a cheap way of getting a random, annoyingly accessible selection of amiibos, these work as advertised. As controllers, look elsewhere.**Update:** After several months of use, I'm finding that as long as you don't need fine-grained analog control, these are just fine. However, I do occasionally have problems with the right controller not charging. It's only happened a few times, but I did have one scare where it was so depleted that it wouldn't work at all, even when attached! I had to detach and re-attach it several times to get it working again. So I wouldn't count on their reliability either.On the plus side, I find that I greatly prefer the ergonomics of these over the stock joy-cons. They're not as good as a full grip attachment, but they'll fit in a standard-size carrying case. As a result, and also to preserve the sticks and avoid drift on the expensive ones, I find myself using these more than the originals.This thing rocks. Everything works, gyroscope and the nfc function. Keep in mind this thing has the figures preprogrammed into the controller. Read the instructions to find the game you want this feature to work on, press the buttons to choose the game(make sure you don’t have these in handheld mode on the switch, connect with Bluetooth and slide it off the device so you can see the led lights) now press the right analog stick down and hold it there, press the L shoulder button this you don’t have to hold but keep holding the right analog stick down and the feature would activate. Took me a little bit playing around to figure how this works. The only problem with this controller is the abyx buttons started to fade and lose the letters and the analog sticks are way too sensitive as a slight movement and the aiming cursor is moving at full speed. No precision unless you use the gyroscope controls with the analog stick aiming. Also for some reason after a few weeks of use it started to disconnect and reconnect within two seconds which is a pain. But I enjoy using it and it looks and feels good.Let’s see how long it lasts without failing.I will start by saying this works well. I like that it has the charging cable that slips on easy without having to constantly slide them on and off the switch to charge. That is convenient and saves wear and tear. Just know the shape is more ergonomic and less streamlined which is good and bad. Good for those with larger hands, older kids or just adults in general....more comfy and less hand crampy than the tiny tiny joy cons when used individiually. This also had a bad, which is it will not fit into any controller adapter that I know of because the back is not flat like the OEM Joy cons. This means you will have to free hand both controllers and may not find something to unify them anytime soon. For this, I dropped the rating but I say this is debatable because it help with grip...just not add ons fit. I'd say really it's 3.5 stars (I rarely give 5 stars) out of my very good 4 stars ceiling.I read sometimes they lose signal. I have not had that happen and I have a lot of wifi/bluetooth items throughout the house.So far, so good. I will update if they drift or drop power. Otherwise, good.I’m happy to see that I haven’t had the dreaded drift issue yet and I’ve been playing heavy sprinting game (holding down the joystick) which I felt like would cause problems but so far nothing. I have small hands so the bump out on the controllers make my hands go numb a bit. And it also doesn’t fit in my carrying case without taking the joycons off the system but they mentioned many times that they’re thicker than the Nintendo version so I was aware! I just want others to know too before buying. ☺️ I like them so far and the joy on covers for the joy stick still fit no problem. I wish they had more colors!!EDIT: Almost a year of constant use and no drift!!! I am beyond pleased ? I can’t say the same for Nintendo’s joycons.I connected these to my son's switch. The shape causes issues with the protective case I bought when his standard controllers were working. I noticed the other day these controllers didn't seem to charge and had issues connecting when placed on the slides/screenSuper comfy, ergonomic design! These are nice for handheld mode because they made them bigger. Love the color scheme and design, looks really cool. The stick is a bit stiff and not great with detailed movements, but works well with puzzle games, etc. Overall nice quality for the price.Son buenos, pero hasta ahi, se sienten mejor que los originales en cuanto a ergonomía, pero se sienten bastante baratos para el precio que tienenSon algo pequeños y los gatillos L y R no responden bien en ocaciones tienes que oprimorlos con fuerza para que reaccionen.
