BelloBought an Ailkin USB wall plug to go with it for 7 bucks, and it works a treat. Has only 2 modes - white or cycle, like the product description says. One of the reviews here said you can set it to a specific color, but that's not true. It cycles through some solid colors and some multi-color combinations on its own. Happy it works out of the box. (I had bought from a different brand previously, and the other brand's product had not worked.) I wish there was a fancier quality version available with more fibers, a few more settings, and a heavier base - I'd pay twice as much. This one is lightweight, but not so light that the cord would tip it over.I got this to simply teach some fiber optics and light principles in my classroom. This one is better than the other one I got with more light. It does have to be plugged in to work--no charging for away from the power source. Overall, satisfactory for the price, but this is average quality for a fiber optic light.It's been twenty years since I've seen one of these. Company should adhere the cords to the side of the box so they don't move around in shipping. Also, the light was just "in the box" and was able to shift around during shipping.
